The E-learning platform used at AUBG is .LRN™ - an Open Source solution, originated in MIT and ported to OpenACS (Open Architecture Community System). .LRN provides a complete portal framework along with out-of-the-box capability for course management, online communities, content management, and learning management.
- .LRN is a course management system designed to support traditional education, by extending the class in an on-line community.
- .LRN gives students, professors, and teaching assistants a way to communicate with each other online.
- Students can find their daily calendar, which contains lectures, assignment deadlines, personal, and other events.

The current .LRN Release Version is 2.4.1 and contains forum, file storage, calendar, news, survey, FAQ, homework dropbox, and group email as ".LRN-certified" applications.
Weblogs, assessment, news aggregator, html editor, web powerpoint, complex survey, photo album, and learning objects are .LRN compatible and will be made available in future releases. |
