Following the presentations for their course assignment for Strategic Management, a group of seniors in Business Administration met with Blagoevgrad’s Mayor Baykushev and Deputy Mayors Boryana Shalyavska and Stanislav Kimchev. The discussion focused on the town’s strategic development plans, including the Mayor’s vision for keeping talented graduates in Blagoevgrad after graduation.
Baykushev acknowledged both – the opportunities and the challenges facing the municipality. A key focus was attracting investors in industries that leverage the intellectual capital of university graduates. This strategy aims to create a job market that retains young, skilled individuals, fostering a vibrant Blagoevgrad community. Students participated actively in the discussion, eager to learn about upcoming large-scale projects and potential involvement opportunities.
