CEIC Data

Part of the database is CEIC Data that delivers accurate and timely economic, sector and financial data from around the globe. The access to the databases is in the local university network via the library web page - databases section. We have subscription to Southeast Europe countries only. Please, choose a country under Southeast Europe on your right side of the menu. CEIC - for this product a CDM Excel Plug In has to be installed from http://www.ceicdata.com/client/Downloads.html. Enhanced Databases 

World Bank Data

World Development Indicators, Global Development Finance, Africa Development Indicators, and Global Economic Monitor are now free and easy to access at data.worldbank.org. The World Bank Group now provides  access to its comprehensive set of data on living standards around the globe - some 2,000 indicators, including hundreds that go back 50 years. The link to the data is updated and it is available at Panitza library page.

 

 

ProQuest

New Content is  available in ProQuest Central - the multidisciplinary database today totaling more than 12,665 titles—with over 9,745 titles in full text. Coverage: 1905-Present. Also:

- Over 880 full text U.S., Canadian and international newspapers including exclusive access to the full text of The Wall Street Journal and Los Angeles Times

- Nearly 30,000 full text dissertations in the areas of business, psychology, physical sciences, health, education and more.

- Concise business information from nearly 9,000 market reports across 43 industries in 40 countries, spanning the UK, Western Europe, Eastern Europe, Asia Pacific, North America, and Latin America  

ScienceDirect Freedom Collection   a full-text database published by Elsevier offers a collection of high-quality journal articles online. Content includes access to over 2500 full-text scientific journals date back 5 years. Be aware of the time span 2005 - 2010.

 

Central and Eastern European Online Library (CEEOL) continues to grow, adding new titles and more back issues to the existing titles. During the last six months, 65 new periodical titles have been included. As per today CEEOL offers access to more than 103.000 full text articles in 23 languages, provided by 505+ humanities and social science periodicals from Central, East and Southeast Europe.

 

JSTOR's Data for Research(DfR) : dig into JSTOR data

The DfR service is provided by JSTOR for use by the research community. It provides a set of web-based tools for selecting and interacting with content from the JSTOR archive.

DVDs and videos in our Ground Floor may now be checked out of the library for 3 days loan periods.  Audio CDs  and VHS are available for borrowing as well.  Borrowing policies audio/visual recordings are summarized below.

Quiet Areas

 

Designated quiet study areas are located on Floor 1 and Floor 2. We ask that quiet study area users observe the following policies as a courtesy to other library patrons.

Quiet study areas are available for individual use.  We ask groups to locate elsewhere in the library or use group study rooms when they are available. Conversation should be moved outside designated quiet areas, including cell phone calls. Individuals are asked to keep study areas clean for other patrons. Trash and recycling receptacles are available.

AMICAL

The American International Consortium of Academic Libraries (AMICAL) brings together 22 institutions of higher education located in 18 countries across Central and Western Europe, West and North Africa, the Middle East, Central Asia and Russia.  Main goal of the Group AMICAL catalog is sharing information through interlibrary loan.
