Visual Search
is a new and innovative way to search EBSCOhost. Your results are sorted by topic in an interactive,
visual map.
Creating a Visual Search
- Click the Visual Search Tab. Enter your search terms in the Find field and click Search.

- Your search results are displayed
as a visual map. To show more details, click on the circles or squares inside the map.
·
Circles represent the categories into which results are grouped. Larger circles
contain more subcategories and links than smaller ones. Click on any
category to “zoom in” and explore its contents. Click outside of a
category’s border to zoom back.
·
Squares represent the articles. The same square can appear in multiple circles. To
open an article's citation, click on a square.
- To
resize the areas on the screen, click the left or right
arrow in the middle of the screen. To return to the split screen,
click either arrow on the
left side of the screen.
- To
refine your search, click the Show
Filters button.
