AUBG Journal of Humanities Thoth is an online periodical devoted to publishing quality student work of various kinds in the field of humanities and social sciences – philosophy, history, political science, literature and anthropology. By publishing research papers, book reviews and academic interviews we hope to kindle students’ interest in these subjects, to stimulate research and promote a deep and lively scientific discourse among the students, establishing a community of aspiring intellectuals at American University in Bulgaria within the framework of our journal.

The Journal bears the name of the Egyptian deity of wisdom – Thoth. This god is usually associated with the development of science and writing.
