All these vendor-specific literary databases are being trialed for the 2-month period through December 18th, 2010:

  • Gale:

    • MLA International Bibliography - for sheer depth and scope of bibliographic data. Contains more than 2 million citations to journal articles, books and dissertations cover more than 80 years of publishing.

    • Literature Resource Center - is the world's most current, comprehensive and reliable, online literature resource with more than 850,000 full-text articles, critical essays, reviews and broadcast transcripts, as well as biographical coverage of more than 135,000 authors.

    • Literature Criticism Online - this collection brings together 10 of the most acclaimed literary series representing a range of modern and historical views on authors and their works across regions, eras and genres.

  • ProQuest:

    • MLA International Bibliography (via ProQuest)

  • EBSCO:

    • MLA International Bibliography (via EBSCO) - offers a detailed bibliography of journal articles, books and dissertations. Produced by the Modern Language Association (MLA), the electronic version of the bibliography dates back to the 1920s and contains over 2.2 million citations from more than 4,400 journals & series, and 1,000 book publishers.

    • Literary Reference Center - is a comprehensive database that provides users with a broad spectrum of information on thousands of authors and their works across literary disciplines and timeframes.

    • Literary Reference Center Plus - contains everything in Literary Reference Center, plus the following: over 1,220 Additional Full-Text Literary Reference Books/Works; over 170 Additional Full-Text Literary Journals & Magazines; 35 Volumes of New Contemporary Literature Titles from Salem Press; 40 Full-Text Literary Study Guides; 72 Literary Videos.
