AUBG |
All AUBG staff are eligible borrowers.
Staff needs to come to the Circulation Desk at AUBG library to register for a library services. A library staff member will ask for an AUBG ID card, and register the Staff as a library patron. Every patron must present a valid AUBG ID card for library transactions.
Loan Period - Staff members may take out up to 10 items
at a time for 21 days period.
Staff is not charged overdue fines, but professional courtesy requires regular
returning of library materials. Upon patron's request some of the borrowed
materials will be recalled.
Staff may renew items online through the AUBG Online Public Access Catalog. To do so you have to log in to the system in the Patron access section, which you can find on the left upper corner of the screen. Upon logging you should enter your library barcode (as printed on your Staff ID or on a Library barcode sticker on your AUBG ID). Your default password is your ID number. You can arrange to change your password at the Circulation Desk. Once you have logged in, you have the option of renewing the borrowed materials. Each item may only be renewed once online. If you need to renew them again, please, bring the items to the AUBG Library Circulation Desk. If you cannot log in or experience any other problems with the Patron access, please contact the library Circulation desk ( 073 888341). See also Patron access.
Staff may place requests on library items, that are on loan through the AUBG Online Public Access Catalog. Log on in the Patron access with your library barcode and your password. Search for the needed material. After you have found the item, click on "Request” button, fill in the form and submit it.
When library materials are overdue, you will be notified by mail. If library materials are lost you are expected to kindly cover its full cost plus $ 10 shipping and processing fees.

107. Limitations on exclusive rights: Fair use
Notwithstanding the provisions of sections 106 and 106A, the fair use of
a copyrighted work, including such use by reproduction in copies or
phonorecords or by any other means specified by that section, for
purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching (including
multiple copies for classroom use), scholarship, or research, is not an
infringement of copyright. In determining whether the use made of a work
in any particular case is a fair use the factors to be considered shall
include -the purpose and character of the use, including whether such
use is of a commercial nature or is for nonprofit educational purposes;
the nature of the copyrighted work; the amount and substantiality of the
portion used in relation to the copyrighted work as a whole; and the
effect of the use upon the potential market for or value of the
copyrighted work. The fact that a work is unpublished shall not itself
bar a finding of fair use if such finding is made upon consideration of
all the above factors.
