When is the library open?
During the semester:  

Monday – Thursday:      8 am – 10 pm

Friday:                          8 am – 8 pm

Saturday, Sunday:         12 am – 10 pm

 

During Finals week the library is open until midnight.

 

During the summer and winter vacations:

Monday – Friday:           8 am – 5 pm

Saturday, Sunday:         closed

Where can I make photocopies?

There is a Copy Center in the basement of the library.

Saturday                       CLOSED
Sunday                        14:30 - 17:30 

 
Can I print in the library?
Yes! There is a Printing room in the library situated on the Ground floor, near the Circulation Desk. There are 2 printers – black and white and color. There are some computers in the Printing room, but you can also print from any computer in the Library/BAC.


Is there Wi-Fi in the library?

Yes, the library is a Wi-Fi area (except for the Basement). To be able to use it, you will have to register your laptops and other devices with OCC. 

 

Can I access electronic resources owned by the library outside of AUBG network?
Yes, you can find instructions on how to do it here.

 

Do I have access to my library account?
Yes, you can follow the instructions here.

 

How many items can I borrow?
Each student has the right to check out up to 10 books and up to 3 reserve materials, 3 magazines, 3 CDs or DVDs at a time. During the breaks, each student can take up to 5 books.

 

For how long can I keep the books?
The loan period for a book is 21 days. You can extend that period through your library account. You can find instructions on how to do it here.

 

How to check out a book on reserve?

Reserves are kept at the Circulation desk. You could borrow the materials for 2 hours by giving all relevant information to the librarian or the work-study student – course number, course name, name of the teaching professor, author or title of the material.


Can I take reserve materials out of the library?
No, reserve materials are for library use only.

Are there any fines for overdue materials?
Yes, the fine for overdue library materials is 10 cents per day for each material. For reserve materials the delay fine is 1 dollar. The amount is added to your student account at the end of the semester.

 

I lost a book - what should I do?
A patron who has lost a book, can either replace it or pay the price of the book plus a 10-dollar processing fee.

Can I borrow books if I am not an AUBG student?
Alhough the library is open to the public only AUBG students, faculty and staff have borrowing privileges.

 

I need a book that is not at the Panitza library collection

You can fill in a book suggestion form online or at the Circulation desk .

   

Use a group study room in the Library?

You have to make a reservation at the Circulation desk, stating the preferred date and time. It is reasonable to do that at least 1 hour before your meeting starts.
